Project Type: Sci-Fi Action Trailer
Project Overview: Production of a high-intensity announcement trailer for Species Unknown. The mandate was to deliver a fully realized tactical action sequence in an extremely short timeframe, requiring a seamless blend of environment design, character blocking, and camera work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Action Choreography & Blocking: Directing the squad's movement and tactical positioning using Control Rig, ensuring the action felt grounded and tense.
- Dynamic Camera Work: implementing a "handheld" camera style to immerse the viewer in the squad's perspective, enhancing the feeling of urgency and danger.
- Sci-Fi Atmosphere: Creation of a cold, claustrophobic industrial environment with distinct blue-toned lighting to establish the game's signature visual identity.
- Rapid Iteration Pipeline: Complete execution of the cinematic from empty scene to final render in just one week, demonstrating the power of Unreal Engine for rapid storytelling.
Objective: To demonstrate the ability to direct and produce a broadcast-quality action sequence under extreme time constraints without compromising on visual storytelling.
